Beta Future
Building a Better Future Through Art, Technology and Public Discourse
Technology is changing how we live, create and understand the world.
Beta Future exists to ensure artists, researchers and the public play an active role in shaping that future.
As Beta's research and development platform, Beta Future brings together artistic practice, critical inquiry and public dialogue to explore the cultural, social and ethical implications of emerging technologies. Through residencies, research programmes, conversations and collaborations, we create space for experimentation, reflection and new ways of thinking about technology and society.
We believe artists are the drivers for shaping technological change.
-
Research & Residencies
We support artists through research-led residencies, international collaborations and development programmes that provide the time, space and resources needed to explore ambitious new ideas.
Projects such as Realities in Transition (RiT) connect artists with researchers, communities and international partners to develop work that responds to the technological challenges of our time.

The AI Art Assembly
The AI Art Assembly is Beta's flagship discourse programme, bringing together artists, researchers, technologists, policymakers and the public to critically examine the impact of artificial intelligence on arts and society.
Through talks, workshops and collaborative discussion, the Assembly explores the opportunities, tensions and responsibilities emerging alongside AI, contributing to national and international conversations around digital culture.

Knowledge should be shared, not siloed.
Beta Future captures and publishes the ideas generated through our programmes, creating reports, essays, documentation and resources that contribute to wider cultural conversations.
From the AI Art Assembly Report to future publications exploring digital culture in Ireland, we're building an evolving body of knowledge that supports artists, organisations and policymakers alike.
Why Beta Future Matters
The technologies transforming our world are evolving faster than our collective understanding of them.
Beta Future creates space to slow down, ask better questions and imagine alternative futures.
By bringing together artists, researchers, technologists, policymakers and cultural organisations, we support the development of new ideas while contributing to broader conversations around digital culture, creativity and society.
Our ambition is to position Ireland as a global leader in public engagement around art and technology, ensuring creativity remains central to conversations about our shared future.
