Founded in 2009 as the public-facing gallery and exhibition venue for the National College of Art and Design (NCAD), the gallery is located on the college’s main campus in Dublin’s Liberties. It supports contemporary art, design, visual culture and transdisciplinary research, with a particular focus on critical global challenges, while operating under an agreement with Dublin City Council as both a college gallery and an active public cultural venue. The programme is directed and curated by Anne Kelly.
