Studiotopia

STUDIOTOPIA: Enter the Symbiocene is a Creative Europe project bringing artists and scientists together to explore new ways of understanding and responding to complex ecological and societal challenges. Through interdisciplinary residencies, research and public programmes, the project asks how art–science collaboration can challenge established ways of thinking and develop new perspectives on our relationships with technology, nature and one another.

As part of STUDIOTOPIA, Beta facilitated residencies with artists Cezar Mocan and Hung Lu Chan and now presents their new works created out of this. Mocan explores the limits of satellite observation and our growing reliance on technological systems to see, measure and interpret the world while Hung Lu Chan’s work explores perception, consciousness and encounters with forms of intelligence and experience beyond the familiar.

Beta Festival / The Digital Hub is one of 11 partners across 10 European countries.
