Synthesize_Her presents: TRANSMIT > Workshop > DIY Mesh Network Communication Device

Tickets to be released 9th October.

Over 4 hours, participants learn to build their own mesh network communication device, gaining fundamental skills in electronics, listening and de-centralised infrastructure.

Working together with Synthesize_Her facilitators Alba Molina and Viva Dean, the workshop explores how devices can communicate directly with one another outside conventional, centralised networks. Through making, listening and experimentation, participants will get an introduction to the possibilities of DIY communication technologies and alternative ways of thinking about how we connect.

No previous experience required and electronics provided.

Commissioned by Beta Festival.

Synthesize_Her is an feminist sound technology organisation founded in 2022 to promote education for FLINTA (female, lesbian, intersex, trans, agender) people in sound production and electronics.

As an organisation, we see the body as a site to access, blend and merge with technology, to transcend gender and species. We come with questions, embrace risk, we believe learning is iterative, peer-to-peer, non-linear.
