The F Word
On Friday 6 November, Alliance Française Dublin hosts a special evening as part of The F Word, Beta’s programme exploring disinformation, polarisation and the forces shaping how we understand and navigate our increasingly fragmented information landscape.
The evening unfolds in two parts: First, in association with French Tech Dublin a conversation exploring conspiracy, fake news and the changing ways information and misinformation circulates online.
The second half shifts from discussion to performance with ni**le, a new work by Carys D. Coburn with Liath Hannon, Siobhán O’Callaghan and Peter Power. Part life-drawing class, part performance, the work playfully interrogates image moderation and the slippery idea of online “community standards”: who decides what is safe to show, whose bodies and images are restricted, and which communities get a say in the rules that govern our digital spaces.
Join us for an evening moving between conversation, drawing and performance to question who, and what, shapes what we see online. (Please note individual tickets are record for each part of this event).
Tickets to be released 9th October.
This initiative is supported by the Franco-German Cultural Fund 2026, the Embassy of France in Ireland, Alliance Française Dublin, The Digital Hub, Embassy of Germany in Dublin and Goethe-Institut Ireland.
